Props for an Unreal 4 project in development. All were built in 3dsmax and textured with Substance Painter. My approach was to use a simple high-poly bake for rounded edges and broad shapes, using Painter to add details like panel lines or bolts. Smart materials were used to help achieve a consistent appearance on some surfaces, like plastics, cardboard, and metals. Some of these materials (as well as alphas and decals) were created from scratch, although a few were obtained from purchased packs or for free.
